The Spanish-/English summer camps language program

Lenguaventura is a bilingual summer camp which has been developed especially for teenagers between 14 and 17 years of age.

Our Spanish and English language programs are divided into theoretical and practical parts. Pupils attend the language program in the morning. In the afternoon, we focus on leisure time activities like sport climbing, paintball, beach activities or kitesurfing and many other fun and adventurous activities for teenagers.

During the classroom session the teachers from Lenguaventura Spanisch classes organize group outings to practice Spanish outside the classroom in daily situations, such as shopping at the market, buying tickets for an event or requesting information at the tourist office. This „lengua-viva“ forms part of the classroom work and focuses on the oral part of the language, which is in most cases neglected. These outdoor lessons will reinforce the pupil´s confidence in their speaking skills.

For the Spanish pupils participating in the English classes the necessity of practising spoken English is also taken into consideration and our teachers will introduce plenty of variation into the English classes.

Of course the daily contact between the foreign teens and the Spanish teens who participate together in the afternoon activities as well as share dormitories together will also be helpful for practising Spanish and English respectively.

We have two or four week summer camp programs for teenagers that are divided into four different language levels: absolute beginners, intermediate and advanced I and II.

The summer camps for children between 9 and 13 have got a duration of two weeks.

All foreign students with previous knowledge of Spanish should fill in our on-line multiple choice test some weeks before the Summer Camp starts.

The Spanish classes as well as the English classes are scheduled from 10.00 am to 1.30 pm with a 30 minute break between 11.30am and 12.00 pm.

In the teenager program 14 - 17 years, Wednesdays are reserved for whole day excursions.

Our partner for the Spanish courses is the Spanish language school, Escuela Hispalense, which has been teaching Spanish since 1989. In accordance with their Andalusian roots, our teachers use humor and patience to instruct their pupils in Castilian Spanish (commonly simply referred to as Spanish).

For the English classes we have found a competent and enthusiastic partner in the academy English Time, Tarifa, which will be in charge of the English classes with young native graduated English teachers.

For the outdoor activities we are partnered with the Girasol Adventure Company. They are specialized in diverse sporting and outdoor adventure activities around Tarifa and excursions to interesting places nearby.

Language learning is a gateway to every person's future so that our goals are to offer student-centred approaches to language learning combined with extracurricular fun activities in order to develop confidence and deepen at the same time the understanding of cultures and people of different countries and backgrounds .
