Spanish-/English language classes in Tarifa for teenagers between 14 and 17 years old



Lenguaventura is a bilingual summer camp which has been developed for avid language learners.

Our Spanish - or English language programs are divided into theoretical and practical parts. Pupils attend the language program in the morning.

In the afternoon, we focus on three different programs: Adventure, Kitesurf or Windsurf what means that the teens can choose their favorite program.

During the classroom session the teachers from Lenguaventura Spanish classes organise group outings to practice Spanish outside the classroom in daily situations, such as shopping at the market, buying tickets for an event or requesting information at the tourist office. This 'lengua-viva' forms part of the classroom work and focuses on the oral skills of the language. These outdoor lessons will reinforce the pupils confidence in their speaking skills.

For all students participating in English classes they will get plenty of opportunities to practice English as our native English teachers use to work in projects in which the young students will form groups and each group makes their own contribution and display the result at the end of the week.

Practicing Spanish or English outside the classroom is easy in the summer camp as Lenguaventura is a meeting point for many different nationalities.

On Wednesdays no languages classes are held as whole day excursions are undertaken.

The Lenguaventura language programs can be booked for two, three or four weeks.

The Spanish courses are divided into different language levels from A1 to C1 : absolute beginners, intermediate and advanced I and II and the English courses into: Pre-Intermediate Intermediate and Advanced (A1 - C1).

Our summer language programsare all based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF).

A on-line multiple choice language test is available and we recommend to all students with previous knowledge to fill it in some weeks before the Camp will start.

Our partner for the Spanish courses is the Spanish language school, Escuela Hispalense, which has been teaching Spanish since 1989. In accordance with their Andalusian roots, our teachers use humour and patience to instruct their pupils in Castilian Spanish (commonly referred to as Spanish).

For the English classes we have found a competent, experienced and enthusiastic partner in Tarifa, who is in charge of the English program.

Language learning is a gateway to every person's future so our goal is to offer student-centred approaches to language learning combined with extracurricular fun activities in order to develop confidence and deepen at the same time their understanding of cultures and people of different countries and backgrounds.
